Oral Sedation

Dr. Mansouri offers oral sedation, usually in the form of an anti-anxiety pill, such as Halcion. The medication is given to the patient an hour before his or her treatment. The patient MUST have a ride home after dental treatment. This is to ensure their saftey and others while driving, since there may be residual effects. You may not be alert enough to drive.

Halcion simply reduces anxiety without putting the patient out. Some people experience a relaxed feeling, others have no memory of the procedure.
